In comparison with bare wire, aerial bundled cable (ABC cable) have many advantages, such as:small span in laying, higher safe reliability, better atmosphere aging resistence property. Aerial bundled cable has the priority to be used in urban and rural power-transmitting construction project.

Description:

The aerial bundled cables designed for overhead distribution lines have all conductors made of aluminium 1350 are insulated with XLPE phase and neutral cores are laied up in a bundled with left hand lay. Cables are rated at 0.6/1(1.2) KV and conform to AS/NZS 3560.1

The main advantages of aerial bundled cables include:

1. ease of erection and stringing.

2. Practically no tree - trimming required.

3. Less maintenance.
