MU(Methylene Urea) and UF(Urea Formaldehyde): Composed of a series
of carbon-linked polymers, both MU(Methylene Urea) and UF(Urea
Formaldehyde) provide usable carbon and nitrogen. Both products are
made from reacting urea with formaldehyde under prescribed
conditions. Because the formaldehyde is completely reacted in the
process, there is no formaldehyde in the finished product. The end
result is carbon-linked chains in different molecular lengths,
which affect their rate of release. In both Methylene urea and Urea
formaldehyde, the carbon-to-nitrogen(C:N) ratio is approximately
1:1, providing an ideal balance of food and energy resources for
microbial activity.
Methylene urea consists of a greater proportion of sparingly
soluble polymers than urea formaldehyde. The sparingly soluble
nitrogen content does not behave like urea. It is "occluded", a
protected urea molecule in a methyl molecule, which does not
release fast like urea.
Balances the growth of roots and leafy parts.
Increases root mass and elongation.
Helps prevent growth flushes that weaken turf and generate
excessive clippings.
Virtues of MU&UF
(1): High content, total Nitrogen is about 38%-40%,
(2):It is neutral, without any poisonous material. It will do no
harm to the stem of plant by continuous apply.
(3):It will decompose slowly by the affect of microorganism. The
decomposition process is almost similar to fish powder and bean
powder does. So it can be the alternative for these high price
products.
(4):It will be clinged to the soil strongly and less moved away by
water. It can be absorbed by plant easily.
(5): With long-term effectiveness, it also will not produce any
organic acid. So it is safe and harmless to the shoot-up and growth
of plant. It is suitable for multi-fertilizer cultivation for the
reason of low ion concentration.
(6): Can be mixed with all fertilizer. Please avoid using with
highly water absorption fertilizer.
(7): What's more, with long-term effectiveness, it is very helpful
to some long time growing plant as Turf, fruit trees, flowers. It
can reduce the times of applying to save labor and fertilizer.
The decomposition principle of UF&MU: complete biology
decomposition
When UF&MU are applied into soil, the microorganisms need to
take in the carbon in the METHYLENE and decompose it. The urease
will produce ammonium bicar-bonate, and then it would decompose
into carbonic acid form and ammonium by adding water. Thus, it is
slow release in lower temperature and quicker in higher
temperature. Normal Urea could be decomposed to a ammounium form
within 4 days under 25 condition, while Ureaform can withstand 2
months with a 50% decomposition rate. Therefore, its result is
almost similar to fish powder and bean powder.
